Montessori day nursery for early years' growth
The Fruit Tree Day Nursery’s unique approach combines Montessori principles with the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing children with a strong start in a safe, nurturing environment. Activities are carefully planned each day, ranging from storytelling and imaginative play to hands-on experiences that foster curiosity and vital life skills. The nursery supports children in developing teamwork, communication, and social understanding.
We keep families informed about each child’s achievements, making sure parents remain connected to their progress. A focus on outdoor play and physical movement gives children daily opportunities to learn and develop through nature.
How we support your child’s journey
Montessori learning is woven through each classroom, helping children achieve school readiness up to five months before starting primary education. Both the Camberwell and Northover/Downham branches have earned Good ratings from OFSTED.

Our in-house chef prepares homemade meals using fresh ingredients, and the nursery has maintained a 5-star food hygiene record for several years running. Strict safety routines are observed throughout the day, giving families peace of mind. If your child is preparing for prep school, we also offer support with entrance exam preparation on request.
